What is summer without the perfect pair of sunglasses? Not only are sunglasses such an easy way to accessorize any look, they also serve a major purpose of blocking those harmful UV rays from your delicate little eyeballs. Today I wanted to share 5 of my favorite shapes for this summer that will pack a punch but not too much of a punch (nothing like this). I’ve also never really done a post like this on the blog and I’d love to know your feedback.
Lately, I have been gravitating towards more vintage style sunnies and the oval shape is perfect. I’m sure you’ve all seen my obsession with the classic Ray-Ban rounds, well, I think the oval is the updated “slightly more vintage” take.
I love adding a pop of color to my more muted outfits with a bright pair of sunnies like the ones featured here form Marc Jacobs. The clear crystal frames are a nice touch especially if you find them in a unique color / shape.
If your over the typical black lens sunglasses, think about changing up the lense color as opposed to the frame color (seen in prior style). We saw this a lot over the past couple months with the trending yellow lens aviators and other vintage colored lenses all the cool kids are rocking.
This style has been my most worn during the entire spring season and now rolling into summer. The retro shape is what I find so unique and a lot of designers released sunnies like this such as Saint Laurent and Acne Studios which elevated the overall vibe.
This square shape use to be my go-to before experimenting with any other sunglass shape. This season I am taking it back to the classic wayfarer shape but adding a flare. I think this is the most wearable frame for all face shapes as well!
