2016 Spring Trends for Less

Spring is amongst us and I wanted to share a few of my favorite trends I saw on the runway. We all know pieces from the Runway cost a small fortune… I decided to create this “look for less” post sharing pieces from my favorite sites that link back to these 2016 trends! What trends are you loving for spring?one

A single layer staple for spring that adds a pop of color or pattern to your wardrobe. I plan on paring tops like these with distressed denim or cropped smart pants.

Stripes have always been at the top of my “print” list. Of course, I’ve been experimenting more with prints however the basic stripe is a go to. Pinstripes, wide stripes, horizontal stripes, vertical stripes, they are all in this season, Go crazy!

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you would know my love for wide leg trousers. I currently have a collection of about 5 and definately plan on grabbing another pair for spring. I love a good natural pair that you can pair with many different tops for a trend appropriate ensamble.

Florals and botanicals have hit hard this spring/summer season. So many designers are creating unique and fresh florals I think anybody can rock. This spring, I plan on pairing floral printed top with rough leather jackets and tattered denim for juxtapositon.

Shorts have never really been my cup of tea until 2016. This year, I plan on rocking a short silhouette for the heat stroke we typically have in Los Angeles. Wear whatever you feel comfortable with, but keep the shorter silhouette in mind next time your out shopping!

I just bought the wide leg trousers (black jersey) from Asos, and love the way they fit. They even look better in person- very chic and minimalistic. Although, I’m having trouble thinking of what to wear on top with them. I have a very slim torso and thin arms and do not want to look drowned out. Any advice?
    P.S. Love your blog.

Hey Kyle! I think I am about to purchase them as well (They look so comfy yet chic). I think maybe a slim”ish” grey crew neck tee with rolled sleeves that is tucked in would look amazing! Throw on a leather jacket if it is a bit chilly 🙂

      Hope that helps!
