Sunglasses have been and probably always will be my favorite accessory. So much personality comes with sporting a pair of your favorite sunnies. Lately, round silhouettes and unique lens treatments is what gets my gears going. I also want to mention that a lot of my favorite sunglasses have affordable doops that are linked. Now let’s stop throwing shade and put on some sunglasses!
1. Vintage Rounds
If you are new to Imdrewscott.com, then you wouldn’t know how much I wear these sunglasses (here, here, ohhh and here as well). Adding a touch of vintage edge to any look is achievable by adding this silhouette to the face. I personally have stuck to the classic green lens & gold frame, however, RayBan has been killing it in the color/reflection game. Not to mention, this shape has been recreated a billion times by less expensive retailers (shhhh…).
2. Crazy Ass Statement
When Dior launched this pair of Composite 1.0 sunglasses, I knew they needed to mine ASAP. My parents actually got them for me as a birthday present and they are truly a conversation starter. I’m sure we are all aware of the Dior trend that many of us still know and love. So many people had those “so real” silhouette sunnies that I opted for this pair. Any metallic statement eyewear is perfect to amp up any outfit.
3. Crystal Frames
When PacSun sent me over this pair of sunglasses, I never knew I would wear them so much. The shape is absolutely amazing and the crystal peach tone is a great alternative to the typical black or metal. Last week at Nordstrom I tried on a pair of opaque acetate frames in the same shape but just had to wait because BROKE. Well not really but kind of.
4. Flat Aviators
Can you believe that pair of sunnies pictured above was found in the Alley’s of DTLA for $5. The vibe that this pair of sunglasses gives off is very 70’s which is perfect for winter/spring. Aviators have never been a shape I’ve gravitated towards until I found flat lens aviators. The flatness adds a mod touch which reinvented the aviator for myself.
5. Top Bar Sunnies
I have been wearing sunglasses with bar tops for so long. I clearly remember a pair of olive green F21 bar top sunnies I wore every day of 11th grade. The bar adds the perfect touch of interest to sometimes a boring silhouette. I picked up this pair of green bar tops at UO for the nostalgic quality.
