would you care if…

Hi again! I have been wanting to ask this for a while but I have kept myself from doing so but my mom has encouraged me to ask! As many of you know, I am going to fashion design school in less than a year! I will be off on my own in L.A. in a tiny room with a roommate and I really don’t know how I’m going to get all this scrapbook stuff down with me! I 100% have to keep blogging though because I love it. Would you mind if I started to incorporate some other categories of posts into my blog such as fashion, photography, recipes and so on that way when I get to college I can pursue blogging about those topics and try to blog about scrapbooking every once in a while! Or should I open a new blog?! I would redesign to fit the style and have handy links to each section. What do you think?

xoxo drew

    Hi Drew
You go for it and just keep on blogging

  3. June 13, 2012 / 9:17 am

I would love to see different things from you Drew 🙂 The trails and tribulations of a young fashion design student. Some of your other artistic endeavours! I live in Australia so seeing L.A though someone else’s eyes would also be awesome! I think one of the most important things about Art.. any art.. even the Art of life.. is how we express ourselves.. and I love to listen. Go for it! and as always thank you for sharing 🙂

  4. June 13, 2012 / 9:45 am

Like others have said, I would share it all on here. We all enjoy visiting your site and following what you do. You already have the following so just continue to go with it right here. It would also be a good thing for anyone new that joins in due to your new ventures (school and fashion design) to have an opportunity to see what all you’re involved in and what your interests are.

  5. June 13, 2012 / 10:28 am

Share all and any experiences with us!!! I am excited to see what great things you will do and don’t want to miss out! You are an amazing blessing to all of us!!! It’s neat to see all the ways you express your talents so whatever works for you, we all want to be a part of it!!!! Love from the scrapping world!!!

  6. June 13, 2012 / 10:38 am

I think that you should be blogging about what makes you happy. And the title is scrappy happiness, which can be about scrap booking off course. But it could also be the happiness that exist out of multiple things (which would be the scrappy things).
Perhaps I only make sense to myself but this is my logic to say. Go for it, do what you want to do and enjoy your college time worry free! Your college time is unique.

  7. June 13, 2012 / 10:50 am

Congratulation Drew on your new adventure in college life soon. I would love to see where your new ideas and growth in fashion design will take you. Of course sharing it with all of us in this blog will be exciting.

Also, when you make it big in the fashion world I can always say look I “knew” Drew back when he was making his cardmaking videos lol.

Have fun and lots of luck Drew!

Congrats and Best Wishes as you venture off into college/fashion school. It will be an incredible journey like no other so savour every moment. And in savoring every moment, blog about what makes you happy. I’ve recently discovered you and your blog. Your scrappy style is one I enjoy to inspire from. I can only imagine how much more artistic inspiration I can draw from should you change up your blog a bit. Perhaps having different sections on your blog will help me navigate better? Though again this is your space; do what feels good for you and I look forward to reading more content. Cheers from Ontario, Canada 🙂

Drew, as the others have said: “Do what makes you the happiest”. I think that as a BUSY college student, you won’t have time to attend to more than one blog so it would make more sense to combine everything here. We can all read the parts we’re interested in and everyone will be happy. We’ll all be part of “Drew’s Excellent Adventure”. Maria

  13. June 13, 2012 / 11:52 am

keep on bloggin here . i would love to see everything you create!!! love your work. it gets pretty busy in college. GL and waiting to see more of your work

Do what is confortable for you!

-> I had many blogs and I’m not happy with it, because its chaotic. You have to do what you think it’s the best ;).

  15. June 13, 2012 / 12:10 pm

It makes more sense to keep it all in one place. No need to redesign, just do what comes naturally. Speak your mind, we will all listen, no matter what it is you’re thinking. 🙂

  16. June 13, 2012 / 12:13 pm

I think with college running 2 blogs is going to be a handful. this is your blog, your space and you can do whatever you want with it. I think everyone would love to see anything you post, photography, fashion, crafting, anything really! Your followers will understand and love it!

  17. June 13, 2012 / 12:32 pm

Keep this one. I would love to see some other things from you.

  18. June 13, 2012 / 12:48 pm

Good luck to you. Would love to see what other things inspire you. My daughter is away at college. This will be her third year and it was hard for her at first but you get adjusted. You will too.

  19. June 13, 2012 / 12:50 pm

I say do whatever you have time for.

  20. June 13, 2012 / 1:48 pm

I think you should go for it Drew. It would be interesting to follow you on your adventure of getting ready and then going to college. I also think that 2 blogs will be overwhelming with all the changes you will go through. Make things easier on yourself and have everything in one place.

  21. June 13, 2012 / 2:47 pm

    just use this blog

  22. June 13, 2012 / 3:07 pm

I say post it all on the same blog we would love to hear about everything that interests you

  23. June 13, 2012 / 3:15 pm

Hmmm…um yes!!! It’s your blog and you can share whatever you like! I’d love to see a mix of stuff!

  24. June 13, 2012 / 3:48 pm

Yes Drew keep it on this blog. I keep my eyes on you daily..LOL. Love what you do.. I don’t comment much but I enjoy your style. I also have a 16 and 18 year old boys. My oldest is away at college and rarely do I get a Email from him..I would Love to hear what’s happening at FIDM, I wanted to go there years ago.. Parents said NO.. I love watching you grow into your fashion sense…KathyR.

  25. June 13, 2012 / 6:29 pm

Keep it all on the same blog…..what an adventure you are about to embark on and a lot of us would love to travel through it with you.

  26. June 13, 2012 / 7:48 pm

Thanks SO SO much everyone who has commented! This has really pushed me to say yes! I really think you will also enjoy just reading about my everyday life! Of course a ton of scrapbooking for the next year will be involved bu after that im off to college with no scrapbook supplies for at least the first semester 🙁

  27. June 13, 2012 / 8:41 pm

Hello, I think it will be a great opportunity for someone with a talent as big as your learning and raise your level to another level, but combining the best with what you know to do crafting. I think you should ever take this blog and create a tab with the new modality and share all this knowledge with us. will be formidable. Hug Irene (Portugal)

  28. June 13, 2012 / 9:49 pm

I just started following you…I love your ideas. When I scrapbook, a color scheme on a page can be inspired from something as simple as a color of a shirt print, or a layout could be inspired by a photograph or living room design. I think you should keep it all on the same blog, just adding tabs for categories sounds like a good plan…keep all of your viewers and followers on the same blog, you’ll have your hands full with school work, you shouldn’t have to worry about staying organized online as well.

  29. June 13, 2012 / 9:55 pm

i would love to hear more about your everyday life and incorporating it into this blog would be just rad-no need to ask, everything you share with us is just inspiring and leaves us craving for more!

  30. June 14, 2012 / 12:16 am

hey Drew… this is your blog and I think it should reflect what you are going through or what is important to you – plus if you post about other topics we (your followers) might learn a bit about fashion design or photography!! I say go for it – i will continue to follow 😉

  31. June 14, 2012 / 12:28 am

I agree with everyone, it is your blog and it will be interesting to see your other interests also. I have never been to LA, I am a Texas girl. Since you can’t take your scrapping stuff with you or at least not much of it, you could do some digital designing. I love to do paper, hybrid and digital. I am addicted to all of it.

IMO, I find that a blog with too many directions get confusing. I don’t have enough time to read everything about everybody, so I limit blogs that are specific to my interests. In the end, you have every right to do what you want with your blog. Some may stay and read, and others may go. But it is your interests that count. Thanks for asking, anyway.

  33. June 14, 2012 / 1:48 am

Drew, I think it would be great. It is so fun watching you grow up! Be sure you take the class that will teach you how to make downloadabe patterns. I would love to make a Drew Original and it could help make money for your books or fab fabrics!

  34. June 14, 2012 / 3:12 am

Congradulations to you. You are such a talented young man and I’m sure you will do well. You have a bright future to look forward to, so go for it. I would love to see a mixture of things too.

  35. June 14, 2012 / 2:33 pm

I also Agree with others 1 Blog will be enough to contend with and I can’t wait to read and see all you will be doing. Inspiration comes in many forms and I’m sure a lot of your Ideas will also Translate over to the Papercraft world. Also who doesn’t love Recipes and your Photo’s will probably bring Inspiration too. I believe you have a God given Talent and can’t wait to see how that works for you in your College Life. and one more thing , with your Blog you can also vent and I’m sure none of your Followers would Object. Keep just this Blog Drew and Good Luck for your Career Ahead. You must be very Excited. We will all be with you to Support you.
    Love and Best Wishes,
    Also Down Under.
